Dr Melissa Wiemers
Organisational psychologist, group facilitator, and STAP Accredited Supervisor
I am an organisational psychologist with 15+ years’ experience and am passionate about the undiscussables in
healthcare systems. In my work with clinicians, I am interested in moral distress, clinical ethics, empathy, and
recovery rituals.
I have specialist expertise in post incident support, have deployed peer support programs in metro and regional
facilities, championed reflective practice group programs – including the supervision of developing
facilitators, led Schwartz Rounds, and have supported health care leaders in human-centred design and system
transformation.
As an integrative practitioner my therapeutic models include narrative, existential, solution focussed, and
systemic approaches. I have worked across public and private sectors, including not-for-profit postvention
bereavement support.
